Where should I buy groceries on my way up to Beech Mtn?  I usually stop at Lowes Food Store, at the junction of 184 and 105.  It is open from 7am -11pm.  For small purchases, I shop at Freds General Store, up on Beech Mtn.

What are the closest restaurants if I want to stop for dinner on the way to the house?  On Beech Mtn, the restaurants listed in order as you reach them, are: Brick Oven Pizza (402 Beech Mtn Parkway), Freds Deli – open til 3pm (501 Beech Mtn Parkway), Vasarelys –  Th-T at 5pm (502 Beech Mtn Parkway), Bullwinkles – located in Top of the Beech Inn (606 Beech Mtn Parkway), Fast Eddies Casual Cafe – open 11am – 11pm (1005 Beech Mtn Parkway).

What if I don’t have 4WD or chains, and how early in the year do I need them?  Chains or 4WD are highly recommended from mid-Nov through mid-March.  The weather is quite variable.  The town plows the roads and we have a maintenance guy who plows our small driveway. However, if you are caught unprepared, it will be more expensive to buy chains locally or get towed.

How do I get access to the pool, tennis courts, golf course, fitness center, or clubhouse?  Unaccompanied guests of members must have guest cards to use the facilities.  Cards must be applied for 72 hours in advance.  Cards are held at the Beech Mtn Club office on 103 Lakeledge Rd, hours 8:30am – 5pm M-F and 8:30am – 4:30pm Sat., ph (828) 387-4208.  Guest cards are $6/day or $20/wk. In addition to the guest card fee, unaccompanied guests must pay appropriate user fees where applicable.

How do I get discount lift tickets?  You may purchase discount lift tickets, good for adults (13 and over) on weekends, by prior arrangement through me.  They will either be left on the kitchen table or you will pick them up at the Sales Office at Ski Beech.  If you picked up a coupon book and there are remaining coupons, the housekeeper will pick them up from you before you leave.

What time is check-in/check-out, and what is your cancellation policy? Check-in is after 4pm on date of arrival and check out is by 11am on day of departure unless you have made prior arrangements with me.  If cancelations are made at least 30 days in advance, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee.  If the cancelation is made less than 30 days in advance, all payments are non-refundable.
